Breaking ...

Same here. It was a voting booth decision and it came down to his stated commitment to appoint constitutionalist judges. And he has done that - as promised.

I am completely satisfied with my vote and will vote for him again.
Yep, and he will be re-elected. Senate will gain seats this year and I think House will maintain control.

The SC appointments is THE reason I voted for Trump.

Same. And I'll do it again in two years.

I won't say I'm completely satisfied with my vote for Trump because I hoped for more. But I can say that the only reason I voted for him was SC nominations, and in that respect, I am satisfied.

I'm actually curious as to what more you wanted before 1st midterms.

I understand this point. I get it. I just don’t get selling out everything for it. You and the others will say you haven’t. Time will decide and why I say, Patience ;)

Disagree. Every thing else is basically temporary. Tax cut bill will be touched, poked, prodded and completely changed over the next 10 years as every president and congress redo the annual budget. Immigration laws and executive orders can and will be changed as presidents and congress changes. But SC appointments are generational in length. If he serves to ONLY to 75, thats over 20 years in the role. If he RGBs and goes to 90, he'll be pushing 40 years. Nothing a president does is more permanent than that, and Trump has done 2 in 2 years, and realistically could do a third. We all talk about RGB who's approaching 90, but none of the left leaning SCJs are spring chickens. And as Scalia showed, you just never know when your time will be up.

They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Thank you. :)

Nah, I value effective communication so I figure it best to use your native language.

Ribbing aside, I understand why you think all things Trump are the end of Western Civilization based on the belief that he's a puppet of a foreign State. I simply cannot ascribe any reasonable probability to that notion.

You should be far more worried about what China is doing with the supply chain for our intelligent device manufacturing.

He was installed by a foreign government. Nothing else matters.

Russia enemy 1a. China 1b. As an aside. I have been anti Government spying on citizens since 2003, I have believed our devices have been spying on us since Ma Bell and have told anyone who would listen that our downfall would come at the proliferation of technology that is made in a foreign state. China comes as no surprise in fact the only surprise is how long it’s taken for everyone to wake up to this reality.

That was about the best he could do after the Bork fiasco and having to work with a Democrat-controlled Congress.

If the Dems take back the Senate, Trump's nominees will look slightly different.

The point is, certain assumptions about where the Court is now going could be wrong.

Which Justice voted the deciding vote in National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius? The one who voted with Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan to essentially save the ACA?

You never know. The current Chief Justice has surprised in a few cases.

This I agree with. I don't think BK will legislate 'conservatism' from the bench and will at times disappoint Repubs for not being as 'reliable' as they expect. Barrett would be a much scarier proposition IMO in regards to this.

My main problem with Kav is his views on the unitary executive. We dont have a soft King in America.

Kavanaugh will be exactly what he has revealed himself to be. A political operative masquerading as a judge.

Justice Roberts is the one to keep an eye on.

There's NO doubt where it would be headed if HRC had been elected.

If HRC had been elected, we would have had Garland, which would have been fine.

Who knows what would have happened with the second nomination. Clinton would have had a hard time getting a second nominee through with a Republican controlled Senate unless she nominated someone in the mold of Kennedy. And even then, with McConnell playing his games, who knows.
