WASHINGTON — In the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president’s behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests, according to former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation.

The inquiry carried explosive implications. Counterintelligence investigators had to consider whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security. Agents also sought to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence.

The investigation the F.B.I. opened into Mr. Trump also had a criminal aspect, which has long been publicly known: whether his firing of Mr. Comey constituted obstruction of justice.

Agents and senior F.B.I. officials had grown suspicious of Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia during the 2016 campaign but held off on opening an investigation into him, the people said, in part because they were uncertain how to proceed with an inquiry of such sensitivity and magnitude.

But the president’s activities before and after Mr. Comey’s firing in May 2017, particularly two instances in which Mr. Trump tied the Comey dismissal to the Russia investigation, helped prompt the counterintelligence aspect of the inquiry, the people said.

And even the NYT's admits that the fired and discredited FBI agents who wanted these investigations have produced no evidence to support anything.

But just wait till Bob Mueller shows us the goods. Don't worry his team is well known for manufacturing false evidence they will take Trump down by any means necessary.

So? They are here illegally. Legal immigrants buy american goods and services too. Your point is not a point at all.

It quite literally is tho...illegal immigrants are an important part of our economy too. Taking them completely out of the equation is nonsensical at best...and you know it.

No. Again, you aren't making a point. At. all.

Besides, the law doesn't say that we can break it if it is important to the economy.

Donald Trump has worked more illegals—still does—than any employer in history.
Doesn’t always pay them—but works them anyway...

Seriously? Why didn’t Obama throw the book at him? If that’s true, and he employed more illegals than anybody in the history of the world, you’d think somebody would have done something about that.

You have a rare talent for missing the point. It would be impressive if it weren't so illustrative of your total lack of intelligence.

Now, reply with some snarky remark that makes you feel like you are winning some very important point that you haven't really the first clue about.

When you have to resort to painting a partisan picture of bullshit, I can’t help you ***shrugs shoulders***

“Total lack of intelligence”
Right on script - again. At least your programming is complete.

Don't have any clue about the Trump/Putin relationship, but Putin is a bad bad man. Trust me having done business in Russia (with one of the oligarchs) after the breakup.
Trump, despite his ego, cannot outfox Putin.
