4. Says we need a leader to "call us to the best of who we are"
I seem to recall a past "leader" Booker was enamored with go around the world telling everyone how bad we were.
@Syskatine -- You're important, generically speaking, but not that important.
Talk to your boy @Pokeabear about the pitfalls and self-absorbed philosophy of "every one makes their own truth." How when you allow that to detach you from reality, well, then you become a shitty person to others and to yourself.
Do you have a hard time finding people to wax your scrotum, Clark?Bless your heart, Brad.
Bless your heart, Brad.
Just a guy trying to help a brother out.
Your political kin is lost sheep.
@Syskatine ...if trueI’m not sure he claims @Pokeabear anymore after we found out he was an uneducated rube.

That NY Times article is unbelievable. I see American society as a *relative* bastion of freedom and liberty in which people willing to work hard and interact in a civilized manner can statistically have a reasonable expectation of a decent life regardless of race, creed, etc..the author sees it as a hotbed of racial intolerance and hostility in which one’s fate is significantly determined by their skin (and perhaps gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc...) Imperfect as we are, the data bears out my more optimistic views.
Inculcating the more optimistic/realistic view fosters resiliency, internal locus of control, and mental well-being. It’s converse breeds bitterness and resentment. I know which world I personally choose to live in.
It is no wonder "progressives" are such miserable people.
Exactly.
Progressivism preaches that the majority of a person's shortcomings are due to a power structure of which they are the low man.
As opposed to the 100s to 1000s of unique decisions a person makes per day.

Progressivism is bad. Like, the undoing of a person bad. Setting people up for failure...permanently...bad.
Oh Hello Modern Democrats!

If I were to say that black/brown people could not compete with white people, I would be called a racist but when a liberal does it they are considered progressive. SMFH

I don't know what you two are talking about, but so there's no misunderstandings, @Pokeabear rhetorically beats you two like government mules.

I honestly worry about how you can possibly see the world as you do. It’s scary.
It’s a talent and if you’re scared then the desired outcome has been achieved. Boo.That’s pretty amazing for a guy that 15% of the time he posts actual words and 4% it’s more than one sentence. I honestly worry about how you can possibly see the world as you do. It’s scary.
First, you gotta get a job. Can't lay on your ass and watch soap operas. Stil with me?
Why can’t I? If I got a job I wouldn’t get food stamps. Basic accounting.
It’s a talent and if you’re scared then the desired outcome has been achieved. Boo.
Take on step to Syskatine and he'll take 10 to you. Turn off Days of Our Lives. Just this once.
Great, now I feel guilty because I am reading this while at work
