Carroll needs to take over next year or go at 197 & bring in a transfer HWT. Can we get Hendricksen from Air Force?
The end of this session was costly with Surber and Doucet losing. Doucet could not even score a point in his match. Jamison, Travis, Olejinik and Thompson won but we could have used more bonus. We will have to really wrestle in the placing matches and have some Iowa State losses.
Have to have different wrestlers at the two biggest weights next year.

Yes, Doucet has to win 5th to auto qualify. He'd probably get an at large if he didn't.
ISU has 3 3rd place matches with 1 against us & 1 5th place match.
OSU has 4 3rd place matches & 2 5th place matches.
We are currently 7.5 points behind ISU. Still in striking distance.

Tagens match pissed me off. Edmond did nothing the entire time and then got lucky and out Tagen on his back to win near the end.
Had an early TD wiped off in the 1st.

I hate to admit it, but I am jealous of Iowa state wrestling. They never ever quit, even when behind. They try to push every win to a major and every major to a tech fall. Relentless pressure.

Not been a good placement round for us aside from Olejnik
Doucet picks up a 5-2 DEC for 5th & Thompson almost pinned Gaitan from ISU.

Travis, Jamison and Surber lost important matches. Olejinik, Doucet and Thompson with important wins. Thompson win was fantastic and gives us a chance. Surber has had a very poor year.
Surber looked completely gassed. Exhausting season for him for sure. Still wrestled above seed so that's a positive.
TJ and TT didn't have the best weekend but figure it out this week and be ready for nationals. Got to get that experience.

This reminded me of the Iowa dual where we found ways to lose tight matches like Jamison, Travis and Surber.
