Leader of the House Johnson may have hinted at what is to come recently when he said in discussions Biden did not know what about things he signed. You have numerous Rep Congressmen that can attest to this. Some think the Reps are going to 25th amendment Biden after the fact and invalidate everything he has signed. Remember, they would not charge Biden with holding those classified records because the investigator / prosecutor said he was not mentally fit to stand trial. Obviously SCOTUS would have to affirm. All of these pardons might get off the books, his EO's. Even bills. Who knows?

I believe pre-emptive pardons to be against current written law. As Newsmax says they were talking if a person accepts one they are admitting guilt!

"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment." - US Constitution

Pretty open ended and nearly absolute.

Who you elect to POTUS is important. If you allow a theft to stand that is important also.

Time to pardon those who had the courage to oppose the theft and got put in jail for it.

Unless you put your butt on the line on Jan 6 2020 and went to jail then IMO you just like me have no "right" to object to the former Thief in Chief pardoning anyone. The time for outrage was Jan 2020. These pardons are just the final chapter in the sorry saga that was the Joe Biden "presidency."

It is very easy to prove the guy was POTUS in name only. After proving that, all his pardons could be retroactively nullified. Even without proving PINO, any pardon for unnamed offenses/crimes should be negated, In my opinion 😉.

I guess thats up to SCOTUS but it says offenses without qualifiers. His signature will be on the docs.

I am just as guilty so take this critique with that in mind. We are not in jail for opposing the theft. WE ALLOWED this to happen when we allowed the theft. All we did was come on a message board and complained while others went to jail. I don't feel I can complain about FJB using the pardon power because we as a nation meekly allowed him to steal the office. Those about to be pardoned for jan 6 have all the right in the world to complain. They put their a$$ on the line. I did not.

Putin is the enemy. Trump warned the Germans not to do bizness with him. Just because he isn't 100% on board with the Ukraine war does not mean he is buds with Putin. COVID was a Chinese thing not Ukrainian.

Tell Putin good luck with getting Xi Ping before a military tribunal. Oh and speaking of tribunals, I think Putin has a warrant out for war crimes.

Putin (KGB) is a liar, plain and simple.

Thank you for the detailed response, UTBand. I'm not a lawyer, but I did pass a Construction law class at OSU! In my younger days, I went to court on a few traffic tickets. I wasn't in DC during the January 06th protest either!
From watching many videos and listening to comments from many people, in my opinion most of the protesters were coerced by Capitol police and several undercover federal officials into entering the Capitol. Entering the Capitol building was not the smartest thing to do. I have not kept up with the prisoners, but just read a news article from 2 hours ago that approximately 1500 "rioteers" from January 06th were pardoned by President Trump!
I am not sure what we the people could have done. I wish that I would have called my senator and representatives office. Why were so few congressional representatives not fighting this mess? I remember MTG and a few others.
Trump has said that he will give back pay to all that were invontarily discharged from the military for refusing to take the "covid" vaccination. I'm guessing he will do something similar for those wrongly imprisoned for "storming" the Capitol buiding.
