Biden Completely Understands Food Inflation

I bought 2 5lb logs 73/27 @ $2.29/lb at Aldi a few weeks ago. I cut it into roughly 1 lb portions and put it in my stand up freezer. I have a chest freezer, a stand up freezer and the freezer part of my side by side fridge. Everything is full. They had a 5lb tray last week for 2.99 /lb. I could not buy because my freezers are full.

Food Lion which is/was my go to for value meat has not had a deal in months now. Even the manager markdowns are overpriced.

Aldi the Wednesday before Christmas had rib-eye roast for 5.99/lb. I bought one and still have a slice of it left. I visited my dad on the Sunday after Christmas and we (8 people) ate half of it that day. I would say I have gotten my moneys worth out of it.

I have always shopped for deals on meat even before bidenflation. Its something this carnivore requires. Deals have definitely become harder to find but the freezers help me avoid overpaying even in this economy.
Food is the biggest part of our discretionary spending budget. Our low intensity war for cash flow is about to become a jihad.

We just bought this and paid $99 at Sams. It does pasta, ground meat, juices and frozen desserts:

@my_2cents how is Fox News covering this? How about cnn?

Really looking forward to your response.

Who would've ever guessed CNN's inflation coverage would have a positive spin on it?

Prices are high, but Americans are optimistic about the economy

Even though the high pandemic-era inflation is weighing on people's living standards, Americans are optimistic about the path of the recovery next year, according to the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment survey.
The sentiment index stood at 70.6 in December, slightly above economists' expectations and higher than in November.
The uptick was in large part due to higher incomes for lower-earning households, said Richard Curtin, Surveys of Consumers chief economist.
"The bottom third [of the income distribution] expected their incomes to rise during the year ahead by 2.8%, up from 1.8% last December, and the highest level since 2.9% was recorded in 1999," said Curtin.
