I've got an over/under 20 ga that's never been fired and probably shouldn't be because of the beautiful engraving....definitely a collectors gun. My grand dad bought it at a DU or NRA auction and I got it after he passed, although it has zero sentimental value to me. Currently in the original packing/box in my closet and I want to get it in someones hands that will fully appreciate it.

I'm looking for a reputable dealer/collector that can give me a fair and honest appraisal.

Any ideas?

What year do you think it is? is it a Ducks Unlimited edition?

The 686 White Onyx has the silver receiver rather than blue (Is your the blue or silver?). On the Beretta site they list te white Onyx new as either Sporting (suggested retail $2400) or Field ($2240) but they look a lot alike from the pics. On Auction Arms, there are a couple of them on there and one (not sure the grade but made in Italy) is in all blue (not the silve of the sporting or field) for just $800 new. So there is a range.
I'd love to see a pic or two and if you have the measurements of it, (especially barrel length and chokes included) it would help. That is a nice gun. Panhandle might know something about it.

Here is a link to a DU White Onyx 686 20 ga. similar in most ways to the one you describe.

Beretta 686 While Onyx DU version

I have some pics but not smart enough to be able to post them here. It has the NRA symbol on it, but I think my grand dad got it at a DU auction (my guess is sometime in 2002 or 2003).

This one isn't silver, it's really more of a brown. Looks like it's a 26 inch. Still in the original box with warranty paper work, extra choke tubes, oil, etc.

I'll give you $100, clean crisp $20 bills... email the pics to Jeff he will post em.

In the quick search I did, I didn't find any NRA commemoratives yet. Would love some good pics. If you send them to me, I'll put them up for you. News is slow right now and a good time to see a "purty scattergun".

Saltcreek, She is a beauty! Really like that brown receiver. Is the barrel the same color? (I would think yes definitely). She might be close to too pretty to shoot, but she would make a great quail/dove gun if you put her to work.

Here she is....

If anyone knows where I could go in the Tulsa area to get an appraisal, I'd be appreciative if you'll point be in the right direction.

Once you figre out what you want for it, post the number on here before you sell it! Good looking gun. I've got an 1100 in 20 gauge but would love an over/under too.

The pricing standard for a Quail Unlimited special edition 686 Onyx says about $1,900 new. I can't seem to find an exact match for this one, but I've got to believe it's in the neighborhood of $1,900 as well.
