Just some random thoughts and getting myself ready for the doldrum of offseasons and summer. Sigh, time continues to march on and this period comes too fast now.

Yesterday officially (well sorta) Jeff proclaimed football portal activities done. We will more than likely have some football recruiting things causing a stir in June after the break. But that is normally an "uh" during the summer season. The spring has been exciting with the incoming new staff, a new focus in recruiting and hopefully MG never entering into another period of medocrity until he finds retirement or an exit. One thing I will share to the contrary, some of you probably got a text from Todd Bradford this week. Appears there might be a loss of interest in Extreme Camp attendance. Not surprising given the egg laid in BPS this fall. Could be just a hiccup or more than that as season ticket sale numbers show up? We'll see......

Our softball girls failure versus past seasons is something close to a major disappointment. I noticed @Wally12, is noting an opinion close to headshake, and mentions the possibility of staff changes. I never really thought that was even a possibility before. It looks more than likely a deep run into the tournament is on life support. Guessing we'll see new faces in the dugout soon. Hopefully KG can find some magic to keep interest pegged going into the fall.

Coaches Lutz and Hoyt appear to be hitting their stride relative to recruiting and program development. I hope this gives us some optimism and conversations during the summer and next fall.

Taylor and his guys will most likely continue their march toward excellence. That is exciting even for an old fart like me.

Tons of doubt around Josh and the guys finding a major winning streak to sneak into the regional mix. Short of the fall football fiasco this is borderline nauseating in my opinion. Our baseball program should be next in line for a major overhaul.

Hopefully our golf teams can make some noise in the post season. Bratton usually finds a little magic right about now.

As you can probably tell this upcoming period is not one of my favorite times with the board. It is been a ride, I don't embrace negativism in life and some of you hopefully will find some optimism during the lull. Yeah right.....oh well. I know my summer has started. We have a new chocolate lab in our neighborhood. He crapped in my front yard yesterday as I was coming through the gate to mow. I hollared at the owner and said, here is bag I would appreciate you coming back to clean up the mess. The pile resembled something seen in the rhino enclosure at the zoo. And thus it begins. For you new board members this is my running story about trying to keep my lawn crap free.
