So what's changed besides the competition? In Saturday's game against TCU, Boone got into foul trouble and that hurt our offense. We look best when we are intentionally getting the ball to him. Typically he either scores or sets up other players for an easy basket or open look.

The problem continues to be Boynton not holding his players accountable, which is why we see the Jekyll and Hyde teams. There were so many times in this game where players would come down and jack up a contested three (with more than 10 second on the shot clock) or be very careless wirh the basketball. However, the players never come out of the game to be scolded for their play. This is why we continue to see this behavior when we are this late in the season.

This type of poor decision making by players always got corrected by Eddie Sutton in the preseason. If a player did a boneheaded mistake they were sitting on the bench next to him (not playing and getting an ear full). Typically, this only took players one or two times to figure it out.

Our offense needs to run through Boone and he always needs to touch the ball at least once every possession. Additionally, when we score it allows us to setup our defense and it keeps teams like TCU from pushing the ball in transition (after a missed shot or careless turnover). This is also why our defense looked horrible the last 2 games.
