It will be interesting to see what ultimately happens. Saudi Arabia, with unlimited use of US weaponry couldn’t dislodge the Houthis. Israel, with the full arsenal of US weapons at its disposal, could not destroy Hamas. There’s no doubt Trump has lived a charmed life. Maybe he will have better results.

Being the only industrial power not destroyed during WW2, coupled with winning the Cold War, has led many Americans to believe having a strong government willing and capable of imposing its will on any other country (some people on this board believe it’s *every* other country combined - I remember when Trump started his trade war during his first administration they opined the whole world needs us much more than we need it) has led to a memory lapse that it was adherence to individual liberty that made America exceptional, not authoritarianism coupled with unbridled arrogance. They are blindly watching as one country after another has slowly grown to despise us, stupidly thinking our militarism will protect us. Ignorant pride precedes a fall. That’s what causes every empire to collapse.

Might have something to do with a bunch of goat humping radical Muslims attacking maritime shipping in the Red Sea. If you've ever read the US Navy's mission statement you would find protecting shipping is one of it's main missions.

Yea these all these countries despise us until US tax payer dollars come rolling in, then they love us for a short time. Then they go back to hating us until it's time for another US tax payer provided windfall or they need US military support to keep from being taken over by another hostile power.
