AT&T just can't get it right...

Is Dan their new CEO?
John Stankey is CEO. AT&T dumped hemorraging DirecTV and is agressive in fiber buildout. Seems to be paying off.

AT&T was next door intalling fiber today. Tech was on the scean for at least 3 hours. I believe with a bit of training I could install in an hour. I watched the guy install mine 3 or 4 mos. ago.

I'm in my 5 day trial of DirecTV Stream. I believe I have a pretty good 2 year deal on it. I'll know for sure in about 3 days when they tap my Wells Fargo rewards card.

What equipment is required for DIRECTV stream? Their website shows your need their HDMI dongle (called Gemini Air), but when you order it online they charge you also for an “advanced receiver”?

I use Roku sticks on two dumb Samsung TVs and DirecTV app on two smart Samsung TVs. No "advanced receiver" required. Wife ordered on line. She's the communications expert and retired AT&T.

My 5 day trial for DirecTV Stream will soon end. If I hang on, DirecTV Stream will bill me for $79.99 June 18. I've chosen DirecTV Choice.

Charter Spectrum TV app should bill me for $140 June 17. I'll visit the Spectrum store and cancell.

They didn't exactly "dump" it. They still own a big majority.

Wife paid third 1 gig fiber internet bill this AM. $10.89. Last month bill was $10.09. 2 months ago $35.56. Retail is $85.57. Wife is retired AT&T. I'm still pretty wild about AT&T.
Correction: Wife paid recent $10.59 for 1 gig fiber. Up 50 cents. I can't figure this one out but I'll take it. Best I can tell, retirees and employees all pay $10 plus tax for 1 gig fiber where available.

Capitol One rewards card just told us we paid $10 off DirecTV Stream. $79.99. We dumped Capitol One months ago when Wells Fargo Active Cash card gave back 2% on all purcases.
