He literal lee uses term “pay fair share” talking about a bill whose single biggest expenditure is an enormous tax loophole designed and written specifically for the uber wealthy elite.

I don’t tend to find that particularly authentic.

And like Sanders said, let's poll the citizens of West Virginia on these issues and see where they stand. Sanders even offered to pay for the poll! Let's also put up a progressive against him in the '24 primary and see what happens.

Manchin isn't afraid of his constituents nor does he care what they want. He is scared of upsetting big business and the pharmaceutical companies. He is bought and paid for by them.

btw, Bernie Sanders is untouchable in Vermont. They love him. In 2018, he won 67.4% of the vote to be reelected to the Senate. Should tell you something, but I doubt it does.

Sanders is a US Senator. He isn't Governor of Vermont nor does he hold a local state position in Vermont. Sanders is working for all Americans, including those in Vermont. And Manchin is standing in the way of the help Sanders wants to provide.

rational people would say it makes more sense to implement a system that is so important in all the places you can instead of leaving it up to 98 other people with different interests and loyalties in order to wait on federal hope. Does the governor and state houses disagree with sanders on these important health and climate issues? The losers of Vermont need eye and ear insurance right now. With the impending loss of house and/or senate now what will they do? Maybe they might have to bite the bullet and take one of those 10 million open jobs. I know I know, last resort.

that woman I assume is a loser. Unless her husband died or she was raped, her interests are secondary to people who plan their life in a way that they don’t have to depend on the successes of others. That is why democrats are so popular in metro areas. They are full of losers who can’t compete in the system we have so they have to try and take resources from others. It used to be stigmatized, but now it’s celebrated.

we already help poor people, idiot. Rent, food, insurance, education grants and unlimited loans, military service, on and on ways to improve your life. But somehow every election simple minded people like you are convinced that we need more. If we stopped helping the people who are losers because of poor life choices we could give 5x as much to those who are in poverty through circumstance or legitimate handicap.

The fact that you think “most Americans” need help shows me that your world view is to be opposed and stopped at every opportunity. I’m glad Joe manchin has been the manifestation of that this time.

You read this and your eyes start tearing, your heart swells and you think Bernie Sanders is a great politician. I read it, wonder WTF she sees in Sanders as she is still struggling to pay for food and rent. Maybe I'm an asshole but I could give a damn about feelings, I'm all about results.
