Any war a US President starts that isn't over quickly ends badly. The American public will not support a long drawn out war and of course the opposing party, caring more about power, undermines the President hoping they will be able to gain power. With that said the Iranian regime needs to be removed and if the US is involved we should take the oil to pay for it.

Why do US neocons want war all the time you cannot shape the world to your desire.
I remember when American controlled Pakistani govt was made to fight soviet union thru the proxy mujahideen they opened thousands of madrassahs all financed by the zUS and Saudia. Well Soviet lost but Pakistan is still suffering.
These mujahideen turned their attention towards Pakistan and killed over 75000 civilians including Christians.
Americans left because the mission was complete and left us with Alqaida.
When Alqaida bombed world trade center then America woke up again and had 20yrs war with Afghanistan and also lost.

I wonder these days how much news is predicated on "if this happens," or "this is possible" and other such phrases. Trump is not, I repeat not going to start a war with freakin Iran. He will just green light the IDF and they will take care of business.
