Congress has the constitutional authority to check the power of the Supreme Court. Congress has the authority to impeach and remove from office federal judges. Members of Congress can submit articles of impeachment against federal judges (just as they can against members of the Executive Branch, like say the Secretary of Homeland Security.)
None of this is a threat to our democracy. It would be a threat to our democracy and our republic if one tried to claim such balance of power doesn't or shouldn't exist.

The problem is, she and others have found success impeaching or finding folks guilty of crimes that never existed. So in their minds (and lets be honest most everyone's mind who doesn't get what they want) the rallying cry of "Impeach them" is the pinnacle of democracy in their minds. Who cares if you have any actual reason for impeachment (other than you don't like what they say), let's just throw something up on the wall and see if it sticks. Let someone else clean up the mess later.
