Am I the only person that looked up the meaning ...

"Feckless" is a good word. The other words were already being used for a while.

... of the word "feckless" today?

Rumor is toontown looked up the "C" word.

I am also hate myself for commenting on a Bee or Roseann thread. An actor or entertainment company's opinions on matters of national importance should be about as relevant as the guy's that's tending the till at the quick stop. Why give the entertainment industry such an outsized megaphone?

It’s a rare moment that I agree with @syskatine.

Upon further reflection, Ms. Bee obviously has the time and resources to familiarize herself with matters of importance, why can't she say what she wants? First Amendment, etc?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Of course she can. Nobody watches her anyway. TBS shouldn’t fire her unless her comments cause even worse viewership...

Some of this is the door swinging back on Trump's own crude behavior.

Kind of bad that his daughter was the target. Chelsea Clinton made a statement yesterday essentially saying that family should be off limits.

To be fair, the Presidents family hasn't been off limits to ugly comments in my adult life (except if they are children).

The real story is that Samantha Bee still had a show prior to making the comments that would’ve gotten any entertainment figure fired had they been directed at Michele Obama. She is singularly unfunny.

She can say whatever she likes. Just like Roseanne can. But its very clear that the media-driven masses only care to censure (not censor) one side for indecency.

The entertainment industry was the cornerstone of Hillary's campaign.

I was kidding with the about face.

I swear it's an exercise in mass psychology that normal people even care what a Roseanne or Bee thinks. Or ABC. The infomedia complex and military industrial complex are like, killing us all man. [Toke]

I should've put that in blue, I guess. Thought the obvious about face was apparent.

Obscenity is one topic, but lemme tell ya.... I've seen Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for years say awful, shitty things about people they disagree with, behind their back (Rush) and to their face (Hannity). The first time I saw Hannity on TV he was saying such awful shit about libs, the lib should've instantly gone over the desk. As in, the lib had a moral obligation to make the demagogue pay an immediate price for employing that tactic. But he was too soft. It may have been the cross-eyed lib they used to have on FOX all the time.

The libs for years were nice, sort of logical and owly in their approach to debate in the face of venom and demagoguery, and it got them nowhere. Those personal attacks on people as a baseline for political discourse came from the right, and I swear Limbaugh popularized/numbed the country to it. Social media just took it nuclear.

I have seen about 20 seconds of Bee and didn't "get" her at all. But you can lay down what she said next to what Ted Nugent, Rush Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc. have said and there's not much difference. Bee may be obscene and classless, but they routinely accuse people of being disloyal, murderous, thieving, violent criminals. Why is an expletive worse than that?

How much did she get from them as opposed to other industries? I'll bet the # was dwarfed by multiple other industries. That said, so?

That’s what makes this media collusion so evil. It’s not the free market that makes these decisions, its ideology. Look what Disney has done to ESPN. They have ruined it with their liberal bs. Look who they just hired. He makes most people sick and will not get better ratings than a smarter hire would have. The media companies are willing to lose in order to get Keith olberman in the ears of people who think they are watching a sports channel.

How many viewers would a conservative or balanced comedian get who went up against Colbert, Kimmel and talon? Look what Comedy Central has done with Trevor Noah? His ratings are dismal but they just keep plugging him in there. The Kepler guy?

Ivanka has an official Whitehouse position and full security clearance.

Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan do not concur.
