Flowrestling has announced live coverage of the UWW Junior world wrestling championships in Bahia, Brazil. The tournament starts with Greco on Tuesday 8/11.
The freestyle competition starts on Saturday August 15th and the four weights on Saturday are:
50kg Spencer Lee USA, 60 kg Joey McKenna USA, 74kg Mark Hall USA and 96kg Anthony Cassar USA
The four weights on Sunday are:
55kg Stevan Micic USA, 66kg Aaron Pico USA, 84kg Zahid Valencia USA and 120kg Nathan Butler USA.

The matchups are out for Jr. World Freestyle and the three US wrestlers received byes in the first round but their opponents are as follows in the 2nd round:

60kg Joe McKenna did not make weight and we are void at this weight.

96kg Anthony Cassar v. Kristof Wittmann Hungary or Ali Hamdy Egypt

Mark Hall won his first match against Yamasaki of Japan 6-2. He had a push out and a penalty point in the first period to lead 2-0 and scored a four point move on Yamasaki's takedown attempt to go ahead 6-0 and gave up a reversal and push out to win 6-2.

Mark hall wins his second match by fall. The score was 2-2 after 1 and 4-3 when Hall hit a counter move for four and got the pin shortly thereafter. Match closer than the result would indicate and Suleymanov looked bigger and stronger but Hall was too quick for him.

That was the only takedown of the match. The US challenged it but the takedown beat the clock by about 1 second so the final score was 4-2 due to losing the challenge. Racer is right there was very little action in the match. Hall was penalized 1 point for inaction in the first and Nagy penalized for the same in the second and the other point scored on a pushout by Hall before the final last second takedown.

Mark Hall eliminated as Peter Nagy loses to Mozaffarijoyba of Iran by 10-0 tech fall in the first period. The Iranian was incredibly strong and skilled.
