First, for the past several years we have lost an important starter during this week to injury. Most have been ACLs during non-contact drills that are freaky situations. There is nothing that the coaches can do except keep the players focused mentally during practice.
My second thought, after looking at the roster, is how young we are as a team. Our dline will be decimated by graduation which will hurt big-time but the other positions groups should return with little attrition. I believe that we have reached a point in our program where we are reloading with quality athletes (oline is not where the other groups are) and not fall off the cliff like we did 10-15 years ago. What a time to be a Cowboy fan!
