Scarcity of water is expected to get worse in 80% of all croplands
The team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing looked at maximum levels of water possible from rainwater and irrigation in each cropland area.

So chinese researchers "They created an index to measure and predict water scarcity in major agriculture sources, including soil, rain, irrigation and rivers, finding that 80 percent of all cropland areas around the world won't have enough water by 2050." Watch the local idiots run with this report.....even though china brings something like one coal firing plant online each week (or maybe its 10 days).
How can anyone seriously look at this and say "you know by 2050 they will be right?"
