Wait, I though Democrats and their leftist activist judges in the Justice System told us Presidents couldn't invoke executive privilege when Congress was investigating the President? There are a couple of Republicans that have been put through the ringer over that with one being in jail and another one appealing his conviction. Nothing like a good double standard.
One thing that is highly suspicious about this, Congress has the transcripts that are supposedly a truthful documentation of the interview. If the transcript is accurate, why would Biden and his corrupt DOJ be concerned about releasing the recording? Does it make Biden look like a bigger fool that he already does? Is the transcript not accurate documentation of the interview? Does it show the DOJ corruptly decided to not charge Biden? What are they afraid of to go so far as to invoke "Executive Privilege".
Second thing, Executive Privilege is to protect confidential communication between a President private communications/debates with his staff. What about this is confidential?

The last part is important here. If the Transcripts are already public, then the tapes of the same conversation should be as well. Confidentiality has already left the building. How do you exert privilege over something you already released?
On top of that the conversation he had with Hur was all about information before he was president, meaning he has no executive privileges. Remember this was conversation about why he had the classified material he should not have had.

The Biden administration knows the audio is going to sound like they were interviewing someone in the secure dementia unit of a nursing home. That would be a disaster for the Biden campaign. It's all politically motivated.

Oh I know, but the excuse to call executive privilege is equally so. I say that because those who would be put off by his ability to speak would also be put off by him invoking privilege. Either way it changes the narritive, and anything that changes the narritive is political important.
