Assuming the reports are accurate - I assume they are, but have not yet been able to independently confirm - then what you can infer is that Bill said no. Again. Today was the deadline.
I shared previously that a very large swing was taken to land Self. I assumed when the Lutz news was congealing that he had declined. Didn't find out until yesterday that there had not been an answer given and that today was the deadline.
So, that's what I know. Obviously, Self isn't coming home and it was probably always a long shot. Lutz was among the top choices from the beginning. DeVries and Sprinkle were too and possibly higher in the pecking order, but what happened with those two has been discussed plenty. To some degree, WVU and UW were inevitable with those two. So here we are.
