Very interested in who in the portal are the first to commit to the Cowboys. Since all the now HS seniors have earlier made their choice of schools, am also interested in which HS wrestlers in the class of 2025 give us their pledge. Will top wrestlers in the East want to make their way to Oklahoma (State) or will they stay in their present vicinity?
If you ever want to follow Pennsylvania HS wrestling (not saying you do), there is a sticky thread on the BWI site with incredible info on the up and comers. Some of those posters, like El Jefe, are walking HS wrestling encyclopedias.

Personally I think it'd be cool if some of the above posters came over to the PSU site and got involved. We could use some healthy Cowboy perspective over there. Many of us are respectful and don't get out of line, and those that do are handled. Hope to see some of you come chat it up as the off-season can be a bit boring as you know.
Very true. The PSU wrestling forum self polices for the most part. The footbal people consider us odd folk and only stop by one day a year when we win lol.
Interesting. Only problem is our RTC isn’t quite up to snuff. YET. Let’s see what happens over the summer.
A growing trend for the highest of the elites is to forego their senior year and get a leg up by wrestling full time at an RTC or university room. They have nothing left to prove by mopping the floor with an average high schooler. I don’t doubt the prediction could come true. In fact I might be more surprised if it doesn’t come true.

Well, it is Lee’s podcast that he started himself. It’s a medium for him to voice his opinion. Instead of us beating him down for taking a chance let’s give him some props. If you think you can do better, do it.
I do agree, Willie is the best in the business and I love is candor, but he shouldn’t attack the little guys that are starting the grass roots movements.
You guys might want to recruit Slippery Pete to the forum. Best play by play guy i've seen. He leans PSU though.

@smalls103 I see you have Cody Merrill still projected for 197 in your final big board. Everything seems to be pointing to HWT for him. Is there a reason you still have it at 197 or is that just what you personally think he would project best as?
You can call it beating him down if you want to. As far as what I stated about him and Willie it was simply facts.
I’ve seen plenty of comments in the past about how Lee does his podcast. I think most would agree with my assessment if being honest. I listen to it because I love just about any content that has to do with Cowboy Wrestling.
The questions I asked him regarding the podcast and possible changes were not out of line but meant to be thought provoking.
Lee loves Cowboy Wrestling as we all do and I respect that. And btw, if I had the time I would do a podcast lol. There’s literally 3-4 guys out there doing wrestling coverage thru podcasts that are big time psu homers. Why can’t the Cowboys have 3-4? 😉
Hopefully we’ll move on from all this and focus on the Pokes.
