Heard from our Rutgers sister site publisher tonight. According to his sources, Gleeson is close to being the front-runner or is the leader in the clubhouse for the Rutgers OC job. From what he has heard, the reasons he might take the job are that he's a New Jersey native (which I shared earlier when he first contacted me ~3 weeks ago), his wife is not taking to Oklahoma (wouldn't be the first time that's been true of an OSU or OU coaches wife) and that Rutgers could go as high as 900k for the hire.
On the OSU end of things, I haven't heard a single peep of this. Then again, Gundy has been quite successful in keeping similar things entirely under wraps. But at this point, I'm just sharing what my fellow publisher had to say from his sources.
