Rob Walton takes a lot of heat but it seems to me his track record is that he lives up to promises made to parents and players that he'll do everything he can to get players he's recruited and believes in--in the games, even from depths of bull pen., sometimes when games are on the line or sometime when they're not..And that his word is his bond.

Taylor, the RS junior whose parents both went to OSU hadn't ever thrown a pitch for OSU in 3 years until Sunday late in the game. Yes game was totally out of reach when he brought in Taylor who did a great job, possibly to the point where Walton might could trust him to throw strikes again for a batter or two somewhere down the road at a place and time when it might matter.

Does he leave relievers games too long sometimes? Undoubtedly so. Never heard of a pitching coach who didn't. But it seems like he's looking at the big picture, knowing if we're to get back to Omaha he's going to need all the arms he can trust. Just seems like he found another moment of trust Sunday night and everybody saw it....Guarantee some parents and kids we're looking at saw the job Taylor did and that Walton finally got him in a game. Not under the circumstances he would have preferred, but promise kept even if it took 3 years!!
Guarantee Riley Taylor loved all the luv he got from teammates--bet his folks loved it too!!!

Go Pokes and Cowgirls!!!! Bright lights fixing to shine--let's give em another prime time show at WCWS and Stillwater Regional!!!
