IT was real. But it happened about 2 years ago. The guy is a stuntman and parkour expert and is well known in that field. Him and his identical twin brother are know professionally as the "Tapp" brothers (Jon and Tom). They were reportedly hired to consult and test the course by the American Ninja folks.
Yep, I'm not certain which one (they are identical twins after all). But one of them goes by the name "Johnny Rocket" in addition to his real name. As I mentioned, apparently they had been hired by the show to basically "test" the course previously and obviously the way he was whipping through there he had the familiarity and skill to go through with ease.
BTW - given the announcer's reactions, I'm fairly certain it was staged and he probably had a jock-strap on or something that gave the illusion of him being naked. Also, if he wanted - he easily could have outrun "security" or run up an obstacle to a point they could not have followed or caught him.
