Had been thinking about this topic and @killmnl alluded to this, within another post, what is the reason(s) for OSU, recently, not being productive in the NFL? Outside of Blackmon, who appeared to have been on his way to being a Top WR with Jacksonville, no other former OSU WRs has been able to gain consistent production.

Josh Stewart - 2014 NFL Draft - Signed as a Free Agent, suffered ACL injury during rookie/Summer camp with Tennessee Titans
James Washington - 2018 NFL Draft - 2nd round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Currently a Free Agent
Marcell Ateman - 2018 NFL Draft - 7th round pick of the Oakland Raiders. Currently with the St. Louis Battlehawks of the XFL
Chris Lacy - 2018 NFL Draft - Signed as a Free Agent with New England Patriots. Currently with the Las Vegas Raiders
Tyron Johnson - 2019 NFL Draft - Signed as a Free Agent with the Houston Texans. Has bounced around with several NFL teams, currently with the San Francisco 49ers.
Tylan Wallace - 2021 - 4th round pick of the Baltimore Ravens. Appears to be buried on the depth chart, and probably needs a new beginning elsewhere.
Dillon Stoner - 2021 NFL Draft - Signed as a Free Agent with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders. Currently a Free Agent
Tay Martin - 2022 NFL Draft - Signed as a Free Agent with the San Francisco 49ers.

In my opinion, Washington and Wallace were drafted by NFL teams which were not good fits, poor QB play and/or their strengths were not or have not been utilized. Not sure why Tyron Johnson has not been able to stay with a team, thought he was going to make a go at it with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, after having a productive season with them in 2020.

I have heard OSU limited route tree is limiting the WRs once they arrive in the NFL, have to be able to do more than contest for 50/50 balls.

Also, going back to recruiting, we do not seem to be signing elite WRs at the position, on a consistent basis. Yes, Jaden Bray has the makings of being a possible high-level WR, however, per Rivals, he was rated a 5.5, low 3* in the 2021 class. Tayln Shettron, 2022 class was ranked as a high 4*, 5.9, he also, visually, looks the part, but was not able to make an impact last season, however, both still have time to so.
