It occurs to me that if a woman is not a real thing but is instead nothing but a social construct, and therefore anyone (or anything?) that self identifies as a woman (without even needing to define what is a woman) is in fact a woman, then the same reasoning would apply to someone who identifies as a progressive. If progressivism is nothing but a social construct (without definition) then anyone who identifies as a progressive is a progressive. I have belittled your insistence that you’re a progressive because you have never uttered a single progressive thought (in the traditional progressive sense), but now I’ve come to understand a person is what he says he is, even if he’s not. Please accept my sincere apology.
