The tweets about Olivier made me feel a lot better about the upcoming season. I was expecting a really down year, but am starting to feel like the NCAA tourny is not out of the question.
My biggest concern was that we would not have any kind of production from our interior players. I felt like everything was dependent upon Ibaka turning out to be a player. If Olivier is a functional frontcourt player, I will feel a lot better. Solomon showed me enough last season that I expect him to make a leap this season now that he is adding strength in the off season. Big Ant may be able to provide some frontcourt minutes off the bench. Ibaka looks to have the size to make a positive impact.
I think we will improve at PG, SG and SF as compared to last season. If we are solid in the frontcourt, we should not be one of the 3 worst teams in the Big 12. I'm looking forward to seeing what this team can do when the season gets rolling.
