I am falling for the same trap that has latched my unsuspecting foot my entire life. I was certain after the Cincy game that this is our year in Bedlam. Supreme confidence in our performances and the return of an exciting offense has enthralled my mind AND heart.
But let's be cereal. As a player and coach, Gundy is 6-25 versus the goons. He is 0-4 as a QB and 3-15 as the head man. He has a much better win% when somebody else has the ball (so to speak.)
So, pump the brakes on whipping up on them. This isn't Les Miles throwing punches, it's Mr. 19% win percentage swinging. We've already won one game in this decade and we aren't due another win for a few years. So my advice, hope we can get it done, but don't expect it.
