Guard play

Our guard play just isn’t very good. It’s not reliable. It’s not consistent.

Avery just plays out of control. Sometimes it works out for him but most of the time it does not. Lots of careless turnovers playing that way.

BT is struggling. Not sure what’s going on with him and his game but it isn’t good right now.

Wright is streaky and has his moments. I trust his deep ball right now more than I do the above 2 guys. He is the closest thing we have to a pg on the roster, but we need to do better at that position.

It’s disappointing that Avery and Bryce can’t be more consistent. That Avery hasn’t progressed into a very good guard at this point in his career.

That a 5 star BT isn’t more effective.

That they both struggle from the free throw line like they do. They should both be shooting higher % at the charity stripe.

Yes, they both will have big games here and there, but more consistency from our guards would go a long way in us making the tournament or not.

If we are going to get this done they are going to have to start playing better ball. They are both upperclassman as well and that’s what’s hard to figure out about their struggles at times and why they both can’t be more consistent.
