Incredible.

Desoto is playing South Oak Cliff at Kincaide Stadium in south Dallas. Desoto won the Class 6A Div. 2 state championship last year and SOC the Class 5A Div. 2 title for the second year in a row, so everyone expected a knock down shootout. Well, everyone thought a shootout occurred, literally.

Security was extremely tight getting into the game.

Desoto was kicking SOC 54-14 (it was 47-0 at half) midway through the fourth quarter when fans on the Desoto (visitor) side start running out the stadium. That was followed soon after by the players sprinting off the field and running to the locker room. Next thing you know, all kinds of cop cars are streaming into the stadium parking lot.

Within 5 minutes, the game was called by officials.

This just happened. I'm currently in the press box. I'll update as I hear more.

In case you didn't know it, south Dallas is not the safest place in the metroplex. Desoto, South Oak Cliff, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, Lancaster are very rough areas.

After the game got out of hand in the first half, a brawl erupted early in the second half and numerous players were ejected.
