Speaking for myself, I was pretty damn pumped about us getting a commitment from Tyler, and I was really hopeful Armstrong would've committed on his visit as I thought his skill set matched well with our OL issues.

I'm not missing either one of them.

Here is Armstrong's stats as QB1 for NC State (5 games):
  • 58.8% completion percentage
  • 971 yards
  • 6.1 avg completion
  • 5 TDs
  • 6 Ints
  • Long of 64
  • 112.5 rating
Compare that with Bowman, who we all know has only started 3 games:
  • 56.8% completion percentage
  • 1084 yards
  • 6.2 av. completion
  • 4 TDs
  • 3 Ints
  • Long of 60
  • 112.6 rating
Meanwhile, here's what Sean Tyler has done since he thought he would be better off at Minnesota:
  • 46 carries for 199 yards
  • 4.3 yards per rush
  • 0 TDs
  • Long of 19
  • 2 receptions for 13 yards
  • 6.5 yards per catch
  • 0 TDs
  • Long of 13
Here's Ollie's stats this season (comparing him instead of Collins since we were kind of up-in-the-air about who would emerge)...
  • 87 carries for 534 yards
  • 6.1 yards per rush
  • 4 TDs
  • Long of 71
  • 17 receptions for 180 yards
  • 10.6 yards per catch
  • 1 TD
  • Long of 50
I know there were several of us who thought we "missed out" on these (and other) guys, but it sure doesn't seem that way. Obviously, we still have a lot of question marks for the remainder of the season, but it appears these two wouldn't have helped us near what was originally thought.
