As a long suffering Vikings fan of 52 years, I called it quits. I was only going to be able to see the first half as the wife and I were going into Wichita for a couple of Christmas gifts, an early Mass and a Christmas party. I didn’t even need the first half. I’m not one to go off the rails on sports, but I did. This team has stomped my heart so many times, I was done. I told my wife if there was anything Vikings in my Christmas to send it back.
So, sitting in a 4 pm Mass I get a text from my son, “Vikings Won!” I showed my wife and told her she didn’t have to send anything back. Until next year.
