I disagree he deserves an ass kicking because of stolen valor. Now, he deserves all the ridicule and shame and shunning that would come with being outed. And prosecute any laws he might have broken.

But cop doesn't get to dole out punishment.

Cop was off duty. Some people, especially ex military, don't have any appreciation for that stuff. We'll probably have to agree to disagree on whether he deserved his ass kicking or not. I'm doubting he's telling the entire story.
