Oh yes, red wine will definitely clear the grease. Beer and margaritas do as well.

I can't drink tequila, had a horrible experience in '73. The equivalent of self-taught aversion therapy.

Same for me and gin. I got sick the first time on tequila too but it inoculated me & now I use pretty much exclusively with no further symptoms
