This is exactly right. As for the NYers, I've seen how they live and they can keep it. 2 hour commutes, high taxes, and multi-unit property does not interest me at all.
FYI this was one of the more accurate polls during the 2016 election cycle. Yet, there are plenty who think it's the outlier now because it's consistently had Trump several points higher than the polls they hope/wish are more correct.
