The Maui Jim Classic has nationwide appeal and stature. Bilas is known as one of the top authorities of college basketball. The constant flow of praise by him towards us will be taken as gospel by many voters.
I don't see us as sneaking in as 24 or 25 but somewhere around 20. I see the voters in the AAC area pumping us up to showcase the beating we took from their beloved North Carolina.
We are no means the finished product and we will probably hit the wall in the not to distant future with our youth. But I see us regrouping during the conference and fighting for the top 4.
Ford left us some talent that just needed direction and someone to kick their ass when needed. Underwood will get a lot of credit for the year we will have this but Ford will have to be given a big assist.
If this team can clean up the back side help and continue talking and helping on defense it will take a very good team to beat us.
