Smh muttering “Ponca Ponca Ponca Ponca Dan!” what is the deal with your article choices? How could anyone actually type this? Do you listen to npr or cnn or read opinion pages in the nyt and wapo? There is constant frothing at the mouth. Who is scared of the bias tag? Hell you are the one I believe who linked krugman who literally put (and racism) in an economic article. Yes, I listen and read opinions from left wingers. As well as right wingers. Generally I find them both a bunch of statist apologizers, always looking for authoritarian solutions to problems created by authoritarians. Sometimes, on rare occasions, I find myself agreeing with something.
But for the most part I haven’t picked a statist/authoritarian side. Watching you right wingers arguing against the left wingers, insulting each other, and each others’ intelligence, picking a side and defending it to the end is both comical and frightening.
The link was aimed at someone who might realize there is no authoritarian/statist solution. Unfortunately it seems you are not one of them.

Not on topic. At no point in the article does he say diversity is a strength. He says Hispanics are just as American as we white people are. Their cultural norms actually were here before us. (Their cultural norms, by the way, are remarkably similar to ours.). They have as much moral authority to claim their cultural norms are American as those of us with European ancestry.
I could be wrong and he is just an elaborate troll. But I doubt it.

The primary con, as I see it, is their tacit acceptance that they are a subservient element in the American equation. Their view that politics in America is for white people. Their reluctance to participate. Their willingness to remain hidden from view. Their meekness in the face of authority.
