"I don't think it will take away anything from the experience," longtime OU fan Elizabeth Nixon said. "There's nothing in the world like it — to go to the fair, see fans of both teams and have a divided stadium on the 50-yard line.

"It's still a rivalry, and it's more than a football game."

She's right that there's more to the pageantry than the equitable split but still, Nixon admitted that it's hard to imagine the divide not being even. Seeing noticeable patches of Sooner crimson among the Longhorn orange will be odd.

And she'll be one of those patches.

Nixon, who graduated from OSU despite always being an OU fan, went to the Cowboys' game at Texas a few weeks ago. She figured it was one of her few opportunities to see a game in Austin.

During the game, she was shocked to see ads on the jumbo-tron for OU-Texas tickets. She jumped online and scooped up some.

"I think it will be strange to sit on the Texas side for the first time," she said, "but I'm not too worried."

Her seats are near the OU sections that make up for the tunnel. Plus, she's heard of lots of other Sooner fans who've bought on the Longhorn side.
