What’s changed for Cade other than the possibility of not playing in a postseason?
Regardless of what school he goes to, the chances of that school winning a championship are slim. If he stays with OSU and our appeal is in process, we could still make the postseason.
Regardless of what school he goes to, he’s only staying one year and then will make millions in the NBA.
There’s only one school whose head coach has recruited him for 4 years and that is OSU. There’s only one school that has his brother on staff. Cade will probably never have the opportunity of seeing and being coached by his brother every day. Why go to a different school or G league when in one year, you’ll have all the money you’ll ever need?
Cade ultimately chose OSU because he likes Boynton and more importantly to him, his brother was on staff. He wants to help his brother succeed.
I believe if Cade stays, the other recruits will stay as well. Cade is going to garner tremendous attention whether OSU is postseason bound or not. If he sticks with OSU, I think he could help our appeal process. Big name announcers are going to come and do games if he’s at OSU. A huge talking point in all our games will be the ncaa’s decision against us. The more people in the media we have that speak out against the travesty, the better our odds of reduction.
