The folks in what is now this country learned this lesson way back in Plymouth. When the pilgrims first came here they lived under an agreement that all things belonged to the collective. Everyone was supposed to work farming and all crops were shared equally.

Well folks realized that they did not have to work to get their share of stuff and some stopped working after a while. The e whole colony got to a point where they almost starved to death.

Things changed when they changed the rules to you get to keep what you grow.... This is the basic reason why we have always been a capitalistic society
