Who Could Possibly Disagree With This? And Why?

Not me. The left seems puzzled at the absoluteness of the 1st Amendment. And the 2nd...

I just re-watched 'Skokie' today. The difference today is that there aren't principled lefties that will stand up and say that the militant left is wrong for trying to stifle speech they disagree with. It is today's conservatives who are defending the constitution and have the moral high ground.

Watch the next 5 minutes of the movie.

Freedom for the thought we hate.

There are plenty of lefties denouncing the actions of the anti free speech crowd. See example below.

Not sure why the're looking at what he said. But think for a second if a conservative said that about Obama during his presidency. Everyone on the left would be up in arms, that person that said it would be pressured very hard to quit. But it's different when someone on the left says it about Trump.

He has a right to say it, but it was a lame ass joke so for that reason alone he needs to be getting shit!

It's not that differently really.

Just about everybody on the right is upon in arms about it right now.....and if someone had said something similar about Obama, the right would be proclaiming "free speech" and "no more political correctness".

They're all snowflakes when it's their ox getting gored and free speech "protectors" when it's the other side's ox.

It was different with Obama because #race.

No, it really wasn't.

Alex Jones to start.

Wookie, The First Lady is a man..... I could go on....not a peep from the right condemning such stuff.
I'm talking mainstream, not bogus journalist wannabes.

I'm talking about the reaction of the right when individuals said similar crap about Obama.

Trump gave an exclusive interview to Alex Jones....pretty good for a "bogus wannabe journalist". Certainly far from condemning it.

You're not really trying to argue that the right is somehow less hypocritical than the left when it comes to this type of thing, are you?

If you are, we're just gonna disagree. It's not really something that lends itself to objective proof anyway.

Please allow me to be the unbiased judge in this conflict. I can state with absolute certainty that the right is just as hypocritical as the left!

No, not saying that at all. Of course the right is hypocritical, just like the left. Partisans cheer for their party. I'm only pointing out that the mainstream had the appearance of a tighter leash likely because of Obama's race. Subjectively, he was treated with kid gloves IMO. I don't recall a mainstream media figure saying anything quite like the President's mouth is a cock-holster in Obama's days. I could be wrong though. Alex Jones is not even on the same planet as Colbert.

And I really don't care what the entertainment biz says about anyone and think an FCC investigation is stupid. I don't watch any of the bullshit that comes out of Hollywood these days. It just isn't that entertaining. I even ditched cable. Get me back to the days of Married With Children and SNL when they had talent. Oh, and the Dave Chappelle Show.

Mostly I've heard the gays are who were pissed about it.

Who on the mainstream was saying these things? I'm not talking about some bored poster on this message board, but mainstream individuals. Saw a great thing on NBC news last night. Late night television hosts have cracked over 1000 Trump jokes (1035 iirc) in his first 100 days of office. A study that analyzed it stated it was the most in presidential history. For comparison, late night hosts cracked 900 Obama jokes in his entire first term. I'm not debating their right to say these things. And its clearly made them watched for the first time in 8 years. Just highlighting the double-standard about how the different sides are treated by mainstream television.

Last time I checked, Alex Jones and Breitbart aren't bored posters on message boards. They were rewarded by the right for saying some pretty atrocious crap.

I'll say the same thing to you that I said to Medic.

I'll go on record that I don't watch or read either of those rags. Too much cheering and really, really strange thinking. I don't identify with much in the way of conservatives except when it comes to guns and detest at what my political party has become.

Those on the left are humans.

Those on the right are humans.

All humans are capable of (and most likely all guilty of at one point at least) hypocracy.

Therefore, the right and left being both full of humans, are both full of hypocracy. As is the middle.
