I get that, but the article attributes the "roughly 22 million" to the ABC/WaPo poll, not to their own extrapolated guestimation.

Of course the totals don't get us anywhere in the conversation of "increasing white nationalist terrorism." These are the numbers attributed to the combined "right wing" by the ADL...

2017 - 20 (18 white supremacist)
2016 - 14 (9 white supremacist)
2015 - 33 (20 white supremacist)

Was 2016 a "down" year? Are 2015 and 2017 more than the norm? Of course I'd have to look at previous years reports for anything to trend.

With the two recent shootings, it feels like it's increasing, but until the final numbers are out for 2018, we won't know the answer. It will be interesting to dive into the report.
