I was almost two. Strangely enough I remember watching Kennedy’s son saluting on the tarmac. My mother didn’t believe me until I described the room we were in when I saw it. The room was their neighbors house they lived next door to when my mom and dad were going to college. We didn’t have a TV back then and had gone to the neighbors house to watch the news.

Was a year and five months old. Don’t remember the assassination but remember we were watching live when Ruby shot Oswald. My mom screamed in horror.

Also remember my mom talking to someone on the phone about RFK snubbing LBJ when they deplaned after the flight back to DC.

soph at nwc. noticed girls crying between classes. my study hall (misnomer) teacher told us kennedy had been shot and killed in dallas, tx.

one bullet at a time

Fourth grade, our teacher was called out of our room in the early afternoon. She returned cring softly and said the something terrible had occurred. She tried to continue our lesson but she was having trouble concentrating. About 20-30 minutes later, another teacher opened the door and told our teacher that he died. Our teacher broke down sobbing and it took a long time for her to regain her composure. At that point, she told us about the assassination.
What I remember the most was 20-25 fourth graders sat we quietly that afternoon until the last bell rang and we left the school without anyone talking.

I was 7 and figured (even then) that LBJ was an evil idiot.
Also that it was such a tragedy that the NoFunLeague decided to play that weekend, not sure that was appropriate.
Little John’s salute and the wild riderless horse with the boots backwards in the stirrups were poignant
