WASHINGTON — When President Trump calls old friends on one of his iPhones to gossip, gripe or solicit their latest take on how he is doing, American intelligence reports indicate that Chinese spies are often listening — and putting to use invaluable insights into how to best work the president and affect administration policy, current and former American officials said.

Mr. Trump’s aides have repeatedly warned him that his cellphone calls are not secure, and they have told him that Russian spies are routinely eavesdropping on the calls, as well. But aides say the voluble president, who has been pressured into using his secure White House landline more often these days, has still refused to give up his iPhones. White House officials say they can only hope he refrains from discussing classified information when he is on them.

Mr. Trump’s use of his iPhones was detailed by several current and former officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity so they could discuss classified intelligence and sensitive security arrangements. The officials said they were doing so not to undermine Mr. Trump, but out of frustration with what they considered the president’s casual approach to electronic security.

American spy agencies, the officials said, had learned that China and Russia were eavesdropping on the president’s cellphone calls from human sources inside foreign governments and intercepting communications between foreign officials.

What is your source that show it is fake news? The story was reported by the NY Times, NY Post and The Hill. Do you have any source that is reporting it to be untrue?
Do you have any sources that prove it IS true?

Still waiting Been. What are YOUR sources that show it is real? Or are we playing that bullshit game again where an anonymous person can make a wild accusation and the accused has to prove it isn’t real?

Did I say it is true? Did I say I believe it? The only definitive statement concerning the veracity of the story, in this thread, was posted by @purkey . He definitively stated that the story is "fake news". I asked him for clarification/source. Not sure why that bothers you so much.

I'm not a fan of using the term "fake news" every time someone reports something you don't want to believe. I, often, read stories and am dubious as to their veracity. I then look for evidence that the story is truth/fiction. If I can verify one way or the other, I know which it is. If not, I don't comment further than to say something along the lines of "I'm dubious" or "that defies logic" or something along those lines. (sometimes I later find that I was wrong). But, I don't definitively come out and say it is definitively false. But, that's just me.

This story was posted here to prove Trump let’s China listen to his conversation. When someone bucked the story, you jumped in and told him to prove the story was fake...that’s not how it works.

trump has addressed the article this morning and has confirmed it is fake news....per his tweet

"The so-called experts on Trump over at the New York Times wrote a long and boring article on my cellphone usage that is so incorrect I do not have time here to correct it. I only use Government Phones, and have only one seldom used government cell phone. Story is soooo wrong!"

Well, if Trump says it....it MUST be true.

He has NEVER been known to prevaricate.

Anonymous sources brought down Nixon. Don’t be an idiot, but we both know that’s a difficult concept for you lol

it would be too easy for most to confirm what he's saying...he puts it out there for everyone to see and if anyone can prove him wrong...well, they can't. This is so simple...as many white house employees hate him I'm sure they'd be leaking their version of the story...but no one is. I'd believe his tweets more than I would those articles. sorry, but strike 3...again.

Damn y'all has been conditioned well. Believe nothing its all a fake lie.

I dont even have to open a post to know what you guys are going to say. It's almost like you have been programmed.

You aren't afraid to not recognize irony.

So you seriously adopted my sarcasm as accurate and true.

Trump deification Syndrome right there.

I wonder if something like a secretary of state, used an unsecured server in the basement of their home, sent emails to people over that same server....would the new york times believe it?
