The English people I've talked to are happy with their healthcare until you start telling them about the American system. They are always astonished to find out we can get a specialist appointment so quickly. Talked with once really nice young girl that was a physical therapist. She explained that physical therapy appointments were, if you were lucky, 6 months out. One thing I did like was the fact you can get pain killers with codeine over the counter. I did something to my back on the first day and was eating those things like candy.
I don’t doubt any of that, but what makes the story particularly maddening is that Baby Indi’s further treatment would be at no additional cost to the British government.
