Serious question. I saw in another thread that is shouldn't be a death sentence. I agree. But if you think it might be, why do you not let it get that far?

So I'm open carrying my unloaded firearm down the street and a cop come over and commands me to hand over my firearm. He has no reasonable suspicion that I have or am about to commit a crime with it.

I politely ask him if he has reasonable suspicion of a crime and he tells me no.

Do you hand over the gun? I say you do nothing to provoke an escalated response and politely assert your right to bear arms with your hands in plain sight.

What if you were in a traffic accident and the cop shows up and demands you to tell him the details even though saying something can and will be used against you in court. Do you confess because the cop demands it? Of course not. You have rights and he can't violate them.

Cops have the same makeup as the rest of society. There are some exemplary human beings on the force and some that shouldn't be working the job for a countless number of reasons. Assuming that how the non-officer reacts in the presence of police is the only factor that determines an outcome probably isn't the way it actually works.

If he has a gun pointed at me, you damn right I obey him. Live to fight another day in court.

At what point would they have had any cause to draw their weapon in the above cases?

Why would the cop have his gun out at all in Chi's scenario?
And if he/she has already crossed that line, what makes you think regardless of how you act you'd live to see your day in court?

Exactly. If the guns aren't out go ahead and stand up for yourself. If it's pointed at you, love your kids and family enough to obey to the best of your ability.

The answer to this question is the Harvard professor versus the the studidly cop. As far as the media is concerned.

The only video I've seen that is complete bullshit was the guy sitting buy the young man with disabilities in the middle of the street with his hands up saying don't shoot.

05/24/2009 was the date this all turned around. I blame the Swiss.

Am I just dumb as hell? Why are people assuming the cops were screaming "walk to your car" my five year old knows cops say "stop get on the ground."

H, "walk to your car" is the straw man which fits the narrative, while "dumbass, stop/get on the ground" shifts the focus to the issue which doesn't fit the narrative.

Cheers for those with microcephaly. I'll make my claps deliberate for you so you don't confuse them with the lunch bell.

Maybe you should just abort yourself...

Your case is no way similar to the Charlotte or Tulsa cases. Not sure what you're arguing?

The real question, is why the hell are you open-carrying if you have no ammo?
