At this point the DNC is offering nothing. If they did, I would listen. But Clinton and Sanders are jokes.

So, as an independent, it's the GOP Race that has my attention. Here is my breakdown. I left off anyone who doesn't capture my attention at all.

Genuinely excited about these candidates..

Fiorina
Carson

Have concerns but could get behind...

Kasich
Trump
Paul

At this point I lose a lot of interest.... Professional politicians with some good points but too much establishment influence and social conservative platforms.

Rubio
Cruz
Walker

At this point, depression sets in.

Bush

At this point rage and dispair set in...

Huckabee
Christie

Right there with you. The establishment garbage does nothing for me. Carson, Fiorina, Paul, and Trump are my top seeds.

Candidates I like:

Paul
Carson
Fiorina

Paul is by far my favorite candidate as most of my stances align with his. However, I think he's been tripped up by the planned parenthood issue and probably had the worst debate performance of all of the candidates. I see the positives of Carson and Fiorina as much the same as the both appear to be intelligent people with well thought out positions and aren't part of the political establishment. I disagree with both of them on some things but I see a lot to like.

Candidates I could live with and possibly vote for in the GE:

Cruz
Rubio

I wouldn't have considered either of these guys pre debate but they had some statements and qualities I liked. I wouldn't be excited about either but could live with them as a business as usual choice.

Candidates that would cause me not to vote in GE:

Bush
Kasich
Walker
Huckabee
Christie

Candidate that would cause me to vote for Hillary:

Trump

I don't think Cruz would be a great general election candidate though. I think Walker and Rubio are the best general election candidates.

If I were picking a candidate simply based on who could win the GE it would be Rubio in a landslide. If he makes it through the primary I think he'll be the next president regardless of who is the Democratic candidate. I think Walker looks good on paper but was underwhelmed by him in the debate.

Favorites:

Fiorina, Rubio, Walker, Cruz

I'm with Marshal on Cruz though...I like him because everyone in Washington hates him.

I really like Carson, just not as a president.

Kasich, Fiorina and Carson do have my interests piqued. I genuinely want to see them do well. I want to see more from them, such as actual plans, but I like what they are doing and saying so far.

I like Paul...I really do, he is a numbers guy, and if you give him enough time, he is a brilliant planner. He struggles with quick thinking/decisions, and is too easily thrown off track. I could still vote for him. As close to my political views as he is, he still does not have me fully convinced. Sadly, if he is the GOP pick, i would still be the most excited i have been in a long time to vote for someone.

The rest just annoy me to varying degrees. Same as hillary and sanders.

Oops...i meant to add Rubio to Paul's level. Still not sure about him, but could still gladly vote for him if he got the nod.

Anyone who would vote for Clinton for any reason, should be banned from making any kind of decisions in society.

She'll continue the "titty-state" for the "welfare-state", who will vote to keep their "tit on welfare". She's a winner.:D

Carly
Carson
Trump

The latter is so politically incorrect it's crazy but I lov how the media loathes him. And the Megan Kelley thing, it's degrading to women that the left felt they needed to come to her aide. She can handle her own shit.

My list would be nearly identical to yours, although I'd swap Cruz for Rubio. I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on electability, although I think Bush would also fare well in a general election based on current polling (hopefully he won't win the nomination).

The rest of the field would make me vomit and sit out the election with the exception of Trump, who would cause me to vote either 3rd party or for Hillary.

No chance in hell I could vote for Hildebeast. This country does not need Jimmy Carter with a vagina.

Jimmah's vagina actually precedes my freakin' 16 5/8% mortgage from '80. That said, as an eight-year cancer survivor, my heart goes out to him.

I got nothing... slight lean to Carly but just slight - clubbing her with Carson would probably help build some coalition but he is just a huge disappointment.

Sanders is if nothing else honest, but we can't afford his policies right now.

As I say, I got nothing...

Interesting take from a left leaner. Would you have a different opinion if Biden joined the race?

Joe will run. I'll be shocked if he doesn't. You can't have someone float a story about how your dying son told you to run and then NOT run.

How many of Joe's campaign speeches/commercials will not be plagiarized?

Don’t understand the animas with Trump…is he a showman? Of course! Is he over the top at times? Yes. But he has single handedly changed the dynamic of this election from the Republican side. He is the candidate (mostly) that you think you have been voting for on a number of occasions only to see them go to Washington and have their spines dissolve. What makes him interesting is that he won’t cave to the likes of McCain, Graham, Boehner, McConnell and the rest of the RINO numb nuts. That in and of itself makes him worthy to be where he is.
If Trump where the nominee I am okay with that, if he weren’t I’m okay with that as well, he might be great or a disaster but he will be 1000’xs better than the RINO Jeb who is about as exciting as watching a double flusher go down the drain. Jeb was on the border talking about Asian’s taking advantage of the “anchor baby” opportunity this country unfortunately allows. WTF on the border with Mexico and he talks about that? What a putz! Last I checked the Asian weren’t the ones running around killing 1,000’s of Americans either, stupid comparison really, but exactly what I would expect from him.
In no particular order favs; Carly, Cruz, Carson, Trump & Walker

Could live with and would vote for; Rubio & Kasich

No chance of voting for these clowns; Bush (better to go down like the HMS Hood than the USS Yorktown which is what will happen with Jeb as he will assure the Dems another 4 or 8 years), Christie (he probably can't even win his own state in a GE) and Huckabee.

Long way to go though...so who knows what will happen. Am sure the RNC will unleash the hounds on Trump by November and I'm not sure he can deflect the pile of dung that will be let on him without coming off as whinny and vain. If he does you can bet he will be the nominee.

Virginia's and NC's state GOP parties are considering not allowing Trump on the ballot if he won't agree to not run 3rd party. They claim they are doing this alone without any coordination with each other or the RNC...sure.

For those who believe this isn't being orchestrated by the RNC, please e-mail me. I hold title to a bridge on Lake Havasu, and will sell it vedy, vedy, cheap.

If the GOP/RNC start doing that nationwide....might as well hand the presidency to whomever the libs come up with. Trump can still run as a third party guy anyway without their silly consent. Also proves what everyone has said/thinks about the establishment "R's."
