Trump's travel ban XO? No one talks about it anymore.
I wonder if he has anyone evaluating the current vetting process to see if it is sufficient? Or, can that only be done while travel from 6 particular countries is at a standstill?
Does any of it really matter? Are terrorists "pouring into" our country on a daily basis?
What the heck is going on?

We're too busy knocking over Jewish headstones to care.

Hopefully trump is doing everything he can to:

Keep as many Muslims out as possible

Replace as many idiot liberal judges as he can

surely you wouldn't be referring to this bastion of political correctness???

We won't know until the FBI arrests a terrorist or they are successful in a plot. Then we'll know if any terrorists were let in during this time window from one of the 'should have been' banned countries of origin.

I hope no terrorist plot is successful. But if it is, I sure hope only people who were against the ban are impacted.

I've heard the vetting process has been made much tougher for those seeking to come here from those countries. That could be incorrect info.

That would make sense. Although, you would think that, if the vetting process had become more stringent, that info would be shared with the public.

I really am curious as to whether or not anyone has been tasked with evaluation of the current vetting process, since that was the original plan associated with the travel ban.

Trump clearly stated that the country needs "extreme vetting", and that we needed to suspend travel until "we can figure out what is going on".

Most of the regular posters, on this board, were up in arms when the courts suspended the original travel ban XO. Yet, no one seems to care about this topic anymore. Are you no longer wondering if the current vetting is sufficient? (or positive that it is not sufficient?)

I thought the redo on the travel ban was released several weeks ago. The DA of Hawaii had considered a lawsuit but dropped it. I thought it was a done deal at this point and that's why the media dropped it. Trump's redo had addressed all the talking points (Refugees, Iraqi advisors, etc). Are you saying that's not the case?

Intelligent response to the question.
I thought so too, given the quality of the "question."

Speaking of refugee terrorists in the US...

So, anyhow, did anyone find the antisemitic Trump supporters who knocked over the headstones? How about the antisemitic bomb threat folks? Did they get caught? This was such a huge deal on this board but seems to have disappeared from conversation without any closure. I'm fairly certain you were up in arms about that stuff. Any updates?

Nice links. Interesting that both refer to people who came from Iraq...the one country that was removed from the original travel ban when it was revised from 7 to 6 countries.

As far as I can tell, there have been no updates on the bomb threats, etc.

You are mistaken. There is currently no active travel ban.

What the heck is going on?

A federal appeals court will hear the case sometime in May.

I was referring to this.

Yeah. you didn't post any new updates. Old news.

I did find this quote interesting....

In a statement on Sunday, Hikind said he is still skeptical that wind was a factor in the damaged gravestones. Hikind said in part, "So strong winds hit this section and left the other ones alone? I find that hard to believe. Something is definitely not kosher."

I'm with Hikind. Seems very sketchy. Just like some seem to think it is sketchy that the Fresno killings were hate crimes and not terrorism.

But, we digress. I am still looking for an answer as to why we even need Trump's travel ban and why we are still wasting time on it within the court system.

1). He claimed that we need "extreme vetting"
2). He claimed that we needed the travel ban until we "could figure out what is going on".
3). His original proposed ban was for 90 days and 7 specific countries (120 days for Syria, I think)
4). His revised ban removed Iraq from the list.
5). If you combine all of the above information, it appears that the plan was to stop travel while the current vetting procedures are evaluated and made more extreme, so as to protect U.S. citizens. We have all been led to believe that terrorists might be "pouring in" to our country from those 7(6) countries.
6). Either the threat to security is overblown, or the vetting procedures are being reviewed right now, while the ban is tied up in court.
7). Since the original, proposed, ban was for 90 (120) days, they should be close to finishing their review of the vetting by now.
8). If Trump is waiting to evaluate the vetting, until he gets his travel ban in place, then he is endangering all of us. If there are holes, they could have been plugged by now.

One can find conspiracy in just about anything. I'm guessing the investigating agencies of the headstone incidents hate Jews too? You can find instances of non-Jewish cemeteries having similar damage.

Fresno - hate crimes are a form of terrorism, no?
