Didn't he have some weird explanation for how we were able to look like world beaters the first half in particular but then scaled everything back over the summer because they didn't want to "overload" Rudolph? Did whoever called the plays in the first half against Washington leave the staff?
It just seems odd that the offense could have regressed so far from what we saw the last three games last year. I know there are new faces on the line and they have issues, but if we're just going to run six or so base plays (it seems) could we at least run six different ones each week?
I can't watch any other B12 team without thinking, "Oh, that was a nice play," or "Wow, that was well-designed."
I just want to see some innovation and creativity on offense. The idea that somehow we're "not ready" for anything more than basic, vanilla offense is offensive to me and if I were a player I'd be approaching mutiny.
