What Exactly Is America’s Foreign Policy?

I whole heatedly disagree with this article. Asking other NATO Nations to pay their share is not mutually exclusive to expanding it. Trying to improve relations with Russia should be a good thing. Last thing we should want is another cold war with them. But in the end, Trump's foreign policy is very simple. For each question, ask yourself: what's the benefit for the usa. And just because the world first globalists don't like it, doesn't make it a bad policy.

I have always found your opinion to be informative and worth listening to. But this time I’m a little perplexed by your reply. Did you actually read the article?

You realize this is neocon propogaganda right?

I find it a very interesting point of view regardless of the source. I posted it as a topic for discussion. It seems to me he makes many points worthy of reflection. I am not endorsing it as an opinion I would write but he beat me to it. I think there is a great deal of confusion around the world as to what DJT is doing in our name. Objective observers should be able to read this without an emotional pro-Trump reaction. Trump is a human being with as many or more flaws as the rest of us. We should acknowledge that fact and eye his actions with the same reserve we have for any person who wants to rule over us.

Because America isn't imperialistic in the least. Any claim otherwise is incorrect in the extreme and should be immediately discounted.
Did you discount it because of the title, and therefore not read it? Or did you read it and then discount it?

Trump is just an employee we hired, not a flawless demigod. Who really believes that?

That said, he’s doing a great job - so I find the endless pearl clutching tiresome.

I feel safe in saying the article does not clutch one pearl. Did you read it? If you did could you direct me to the pearl clutching? It is basically an historical retrospective of what has led to Trump’s foreign policy, whatever that may be. It’s not a hit piece on Trump. I probably misled you with my original comments. That’s my mistake. Read the article! Then explain your disagreement with any portion of what is written. Isn’t that technically what this blog is about, discussing opinions?

By the way I think if you read the article you will find there is nothing in it to suggest a neocon perspective.

I didn’t read it but how can any president be judged by their foreign policy at least militarily right now? Obama and trump showed up first day on the job with troops in 100 countries bombing here and there but not there...it was bull shit from the beginning for both of them. How much power do they really have? Literally the fate of the world is in their hands, I wouldn’t want that pressure.

Harry, sometimes I love you! The only politician eschewing that pressure is my girl, Tulsi. Vote for Tulsi!
